Guide
Check what AI says about you
You can check what AI says about your brand in about an hour, with no tools. Here is how, and what to do with what you find.
Before you start
Write ten questions a buyer would ask before choosing a company like yours. Include a mix: a category question (best X for Y), a comparison (you versus a rival), a problem question (how do I fix Z), a price question and a trust question (is you any good).
Run every question in every engine
Ask each question in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude and Google. Use a fresh chat for each one so earlier answers do not influence the next. Where an engine shows sources, keep them.
Record what comes back
For each answer note which brands are named, in what order, and what is said about you. Note every source the engine cites.
- Were you named at all?
- Who was named instead?
- Is what is said about you true and current?
- Which pages did the engine cite?
Decide what to fix
The sources tell you where to look. If a wrong fact comes from your own page, fix it. If it comes from a directory or another site, plan a correction. If you were simply not mentioned, look at which pages the winners had that you did not.
Where to go next
If you would rather have this done for you, our audit tests hundreds of your buyers' questions across six engines and ends with a ranked plan.
